    Cruel....

Bad luck, Lance. Live 'n learn eh?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I ran second hand supercorsas for my clubmans attempt over the summer without owning tire warmers. They performed pretty well from cold in the dry (after 2 laps to warm). Were damn right scary at the wet meet I did. And were just the bees knees once I started borrowing tire warmers. When coming to your tire of choice, its worth taking into account the weather. You may decide to pick something with a few more lines to get you through the winter serries then think about trying something else in summer.
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...

Lance, Tyre warmers up first for safety and they will also make your tyres go further. The less heat cycles they endure, the longer they will last. So when you get to the track in the morning, wack on the warmers, then wack them straight back on as
soon as you get back to the pits after each race, and hey presto, just one heat cycle for the day.

If the next race is dry and the super corsas are in good condition, I'd try them again after using warmers. In those cold wet slimy conditions, any cold tyre will in the 1st laps make your bike feel like it's unstable and going to crash.

Oh, and I got set of wets you can have for $40 if you want.

Or you could buy a can of "CRC Engine Start", spray your tyres and set fire to them prior to racing? While you're there, purchase a can of CRC Brakleen and clean the molybdenum grease off your rotors

Hey bro, If I come down next round I'll make sure I bring an older set of wets you can use ...also, definitely get a set of tire warmers (not for the wets, for your normal rubber)...its a 'not optional' piece of equipment in my mind...I have a spare set you can use if I'm down next month too...come over and see me bro. Us Kwaka riders gotta stick together...also, that bike of yours is like my old road bike so would love to see someone racing it!!
    full respect!

that rocks like a rocking thing! Ill have a look at R4 with some new tyres and an attitude adjustment and see if I want to carry on with the idea of racing. Frikken sore today!

If you want a set of Dunnies I have some old ones that you can have...good for racing on still just past their full usefulness for me. I sell em pretty cheap for people exactly like you....these are the 211GP and once you have tried em you'll be hooked (you need warmers with them tho).

I have some here $100 a piece ($200 a set) if you want. let me know. I had a woopsie on the weekend too, I spat the front pads out of my calipers cause the pin wasn't done up tight (numbnuts that I am)...no brakes heading into the final turn at Manfeild at about 190kph is kinda interesting. I'm a bit bruised and sore today too but fuck riding on the road....racing is where its at ...just ease into it.
