LOL!!! Yup! I used to scrape the pegs on my old GSX-F600 on the road and wished I could have done a track day on it, too! I doubt the C50T would be a lot of fun on the track, well, maybe for the onlookers...
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!

I'm starting bucket "racing" (I've done two race days so far, as last month the boys weren't being nice, so I let them play in the sandpit by themselves - hmm, that really wasn't a punishment at all).

I have felt, turning up at places without a bike, that I'm not treated the same as when I do have a bike. This is understandable, as I know I do it to others whom I don't know, or who turn up pillioned.

Bucket racing has been the same, where everyone is talking about the race, the track, the lines etc, but standing/sitting on the sidelines you have no idea what they're talking about. Flagging gives you a bit more perspective, but still not quite the same.

Now I just get comments about the way they went past me and apologies if they thought it was a bit "off". I'm wearing a tinted visor, and am generally grinning (there is lots of frustration on my part that I can't twist the throttle more, so I'm not less of a mobile chicane, but I hope that will change - so do they hahaha).

Katiepie, if you get a chance, do turn up at buckets one day, it'll give you a taste. It is close racing (for some, for others it's just close overtaking hehehe), but you will learn from it. It's cheaper than most other racing (until you've figured you're totally addicted and want another bike, another class, and have to start travelling around the countryside).

Trudes inspired me to give it a go, and I hope that younger girls will see females like Avalon, their mums will see someone like me, and let their daughters get into racing young enough to do well

What is Carol Pavich up to nowadays?
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

Awesome to hear there are so many girls out there racing. Girls can compete equally with men in any race as those of you out there doing it already know. If a women's cup would get more into it then go for it I reckon.
Advantages to being a woman racing:
    - usually lighter therefore able to brake harder and later
    - because women tend to be less strong than men physically, they are more likely to use technique to go faster - a real asset in the long run
    - men occasionally get distracted racing with women

    In summary: go hard!
    Exploring pastures anew...

.....im sure our club would host a cup for the 'iighter and more technical ' riders....i dont see a cup race or races being sexist or less an event than say a cb 350 cup or junior cup....one way of attracting more girls into racing would be to make it higher profile for those girls out there who are maybe thinking or wishing they had what it takes....
