I dunno, even reasonably modern 2 strokes seem to live through anything. Younger brother ran an 01 DS80 out of oil (self mixing) and it stopped as expected. Towed it home, topped up the oil and after a fair few decent kicks she fired back up and ran for the next couple years before we sold it. Mate dropped a CR125 in a river as we were trying to get home (late at night torrential rain etc etc) and it got dragged under and off a ledge into the deep as the river was just beginning to flood. We abandonned it and went back the next weekend with a new plug, filter, gas and some engine start. Plus all the ropes etc to get this thing out and more than likely tow it home. But whatta ya know, kick kick kick for 20 mins and she started up and ran good as gold.
I'm definately a 4 stroke convert but the ol 2 strokes sure were reliable!
would a gn250 or 125 count with knobies fitted and new bars
