Def as long as it isn't wet wet wet. Like yesterday would be nice. Time to try out my new touring footpegs
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Yeeeeeeeeah I shooooooould be there. Will be at Steve's party so will probably be quite hung over and so will he. Might have the new carb finished by then too, the bike has shown promising improvements in speed but need more main jets to test with.
I'll be there rain or shine. Hoping to stay upright this time, still a bit sore from the Slipway.
I plan on being there for a wobble around.
Life is a lesson-if I bother to listen
yep keen as
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!
Long range forecast looks good.
Anyone else keen for a blast?
You guys don't mind clueless spectators do you?
I'm seriously considering getting into buckets (as stupid as it is given I'm still a student), and would be keen to turn up just to see what it's like, talk to some of the regulars etc. How long do you go until?
Library Schooled
Kaitoki has benches where you can sit & watch most of the track, which is cool.
The one thing both of us thought (oops sorry, Henk and myself) was strange when down there at Easter was the amount of spectators there.
In Auckland, you do get spectators, but not staying as long, or as many.
The difference is, Kaitoki is the start/end of a good ride over the hills, Auckland is in the middle of a suburb/industrial area and near the most boring part of NZ - the southern motorway.
If you're seriously considering getting into buckets, go along and watch, they'll probably even love it if you hold a flag for a while. There can be some great racing, there will be some good people. Be warned though, it could become an addiction (gubberment warning will follow hahaha).
I know the Wellington mob will pipe in soon, but I thought I'd give you an outsiders' view as well![]()
i have so much on this weekend.......
$45 for a fun day SHARED with karts....![]()
what a ride so far!!!!
Hey man, I'm a student and I manage. It's called a student loan and life savings hahaha. Government money/the other riders tax money. The ones I can't beat on the track, I beat them in their wallets bahaha. Nah I promise I'm not toooo irresponsible with my student loan......
Buckets can be as cheap or as expensive as YOU want to make it, that's what's so cool about it. To start off with you could have a $250 shitter and as long as it runs and you can ride it, chuck some nylon on it and you're away! Don't have to be flash and have expensive shit to still have fun (infact, some of the shittiest bikes are the funest to ride (just don't expect to win unless you're an amazing rider)), so don't worry about being a broke student.
