I don't give a toss other than if I have to contribute their medical treatment. Go back to Canada for the skin grafts on your bare feet? - carry on.

And that it's a sad comment on the human condition that goobers can win fame and fortune for rolling down hills on bits of wood.

I used to skateboard a LOT: I would love to give this a go.

now I am old I would be dressed as I would for a trackday though.... leathers, boots gloves helmet back protector....

the liedown one is significantly quicker than the standup ones: aerodynamics in action.

I remember once I moved up to Auckland and didn't know the area that well I rode a push bike down Ayr St in Parnell. The street is sooo steep I just went for it. Speedo was maxed out at 99km/h very quickly. I shat my self when I saw the roundabout right at the bottom, it brought a whole new meaning to emergency braking and being ready for the unexpected.

When I was a kid my mate lived across the road from the dairy factory and we made up these broomsticks with a metal hook on the end if you were quick you could ride beind the dairy tankers and hook onto their ladders for a tow down the road at 70 kmh. It got scary when they braked unexpectedly because you were less than 1m behind them.
Don't blame me, I voted Green.

I regularly see cyclists travelling at 70 - 100 kmh down the port Hills wearing lycra and on wheels that are 20mm wide.

That`s gutsy riding...if you`ve ever done any downhill you will certainly relate.
Most of the serious riders wear full leathers, full face helmet, slide gloves etc.
The dude in bare feet is kinda trusting though, fuck that.

    Longboarders take on wellington

    They are in Wellington now!

Is it Brooklyn hill down into the city?

Dunno about not editing their faces out of the vid? They might get in the shit for that?

Secondly when that guy undertook the ute and hit the tarseal lip in the gutter that was a close thing I thought!
I think I'd have been shitting a bit if I'd been driving that ute! If he saw him coming at all that is?
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Fuck it, they're obviously very good at what they do and I seriously doubt there's much risk to anyone except themselves.

Keep it up I say. Just hope they've got international health insurance.

That is so cool, good on`em I say!
I still skate, and the buzz/feeling you get from doing downhill like those guys or skating some gnarly-as bowl / pool / ramp is right up there with going hard out on a good sportsbike.
    Ye-fucken-ha!!!!!!!!!
