Parking in a handicap space okay with you?

    Seen at Bunnings Pakaranga today.
    Photobucket

My old mans in a wheelchair and this does annoy me a little.

Couple of employees hanging round it as i walked in, not sure if they were calling a tow truck...... I was in there 15min so not a quick stop for rider.

I would have disc locked it and walked away with the key.
$5 padlock and I would have been entertained for days

    Definately not ok.

    Shame on that person.

I once had a mobility card when I was on crutches with a badly broken leg, I was about to park in a mobility carspace when another car zoomed in ahead of me. I sat in my car and watched as a perfectly able bodied bloke got out of the car...ok sometimes the disability isn't obvious but he didn't have a mobility card so I blocked him with my car and asked him if he was disabled.
He replied honestly that he wasn't and said he was in a hurry.
I replied honestly that I WAS and told him to move his f***ing car.
And yes I did swear at him cos I was livid!

    He moved his car.

They are there for a valid reason and people have to pay a heap of money to park in these spots so its not ok to park there unless of course that person had a mobility sticker on the bike?

maybe he was disabled... not every disabled person is on a wheelchair...
although i do think he could have easily parked on the pavement part above the disabled parking so he dosnt take up a whole disabled space with a bike. that part i dont like

You can park a bike anywhere, a car not so much.

True! Maybe Valentino Rossi whipped down to Bunnings to buy some nails? He is on crutches but can still ride a bike pretty well
