I've been a fan of Spies from the time I saw him ride at Laguna in '07'. Stoner still impresses me.

Who says I can't have more than one BF at a time anyway?

I never said Edwards is better than Spies, just that Colin deserves some respect , and sure he has not done well in GP in fact I am not a fan but from what Drew said I should be .

I just commented that Spies is under the spotlight and has a long way to go. Spies is good and refreshing for the image of the sport......tis all
Mr Edwards would be better suited in Moto2 along with Elias (who is having a shit load of success and fun in that group)....Marco Melandri could do well in Moto2 also.

Really?! Edwards should have won in Assen a few years ago and last year at Donington was close. Another chaotic dry to wet race with crashes and he could do it... As for Spies - yes he is awesome - but he hasn't won one yet... so I for one wouldn't say that Spies will definitely win a MotoGp race.
But sure - in a who's more likely, Spies vs Edwards to win a MotoGP I think most people would say Spies.

I was just looking at the lap times and trying to tie them into the period when Spies caught Rossi up. Rossi was doing 1:22:5's and Spies caught him up doing 1:22:4's. As soon as Spies got close enough to land a punch Rossi dropped it into the 1:22:2's Spies got ragged and blew out to 1:22:8 and then just about crashed and did a 1:24:8.

Three 1:22:2's got Rossi up to Dovi and he passed him on the next lap.

The "Doctor" really knows his shit doesn't he

Rossi is a legend he can always find that bit extra and soon enough hell be putting it back to Lorenzo again

Im a massive Hayden fan and think he is great he never moans about the gear he always blames himself if something he does screws the race up

Also the Edwards Spies comments do you think if Bayliss was still out there last year Spies would have won??? I very much doubt it Bayliss is superbikes version of Rossi

Can't agree there sorry. Bayliss won a lot of his races due to the rules. Just like a lot of other Ducati racers have done. Sure he was good. Fantastic even. But he ain't no Rossi of Superbikes.

    I agree.

I dont think there has ever been a Rossi in any form of bike racing. He's the whole nine yards, from unbelievable talent on a bike, to great developer. And he's a born entertainer, a sponsors dream. Yamaha have made a very big mistake I think.

It's easy to say that...but he wasn't and it doesn't matter. It would've been different if Spies didn't have 3 or 4 mechanical dnf's too...but he did, and was taken out twice by other riders.
