Hi all - anyone know anything about the chinese brands 'Lifan' and 'Zongshen'? Sourcing an engine for a future project (3 wheel car) and both of these guys make motorcycle engines with reverse gears!

My mate bought a Chinese bike and the engine seized. Got it replaced on warranty, fair enough, and that one seized too. Now, he can't be bothered. Get a Jap one.

All the Lifan stuff looks like a DIRECT copy of Honda products.
All this Chinese stuff is the same. Its not good, its not bad but its cheap. If you have low expectations and promise not to cry when it fails and you can't get any support for it then what the hey
