Lightbulb an evening of pool n drinkies.. akl

just wanted to get a rough idea before I post something solid in the meetings forum.

I went to a pool hall called the 'Pool Barn' in Glenfield, which was a pretty good place. Located here (but is Target Crt/Cresent, not road, just a little bit down from the arrows on the right), the road goes up a slight hill and round a corner. It's on the outside of the corner, drive round the back, plenty of parking), it's got plenty of tables and a good bar (and awesome bar chicks). Just wondered how popular it'd be if we all got together for a few laughs, shoot some pool and have a drink. If the weather is good, the bloke there said he'd fire up the bbq too..

If it's 10 to 15 peeps, then it'd be about $5 a head, 15+ would be able $3 a head. This covers the cost of about 6+ pool tables for a couple of hours. Any money left over can go to Spank for the site..

The quiet nights are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Cos of the bridge and traffic comin home, could be an idea to make it around 8, finishing at 10, but that could be too late. 7 to 9 could be a bit of a mission, but should be settling by 7.. guess it could be around 7.30 til 9.30...??? ideas? also, when? this week coming, next week..??

Just thought it'd be something different and social. Can even put name stickers on, so we know who's who.. cos I rarely know

    open to the board...

use to frequent that spot. Its $10 a table and you generally have 4 ppl to a table depending on how good your are at pool (good players = fast games = more ppl per table).

Would be cool. Do the 14yr old slappers still hang out there? I heard they all cleared out when the no smoking law came in coz they couldnt go in and be hidden from their parents eyes - killed the atmosphere

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Farily certain that when a big group of hard looking bikers show up hey might just vanish or try to join.

Ahhh - quantum physics. Now you've got my attention.

Did you know that quantum theory was not the work of one individual (unlike the theory of relativity), but the collaborative effort of some of the most brilliant physicists of the 20th century, among them Niels Bohr, Erwin Schrödinger, Wolfgang Pauli, Biff and Max Born.

The two guys that possibly paid the largest part in our current understanding of quantum physics were Max Planck (1858-1947) and Werner Heisenberg (1901-1976). Planck is the guy most people associate as being the originator of the quantum theory, while Heisenberg formulated one of the most eminent laws of quantum theory, the uncertainty principle (chaos theory etc), which is occasionally also referred to as the principle of indeterminacy.

Now excuse me while I contemplate particle space duality with my friend Palm and her five friends.
