    Yeah, still a 10:30 start.
    Who knows about the weather, the weather forcasters certainly don't!

    Yeah - meet at 10.30ish and NC'll prob turn up by 11 so we may aswell just wait till then for her. (Don't all turn up at 11 though cause she might come earlier).

    Ohhhh... need to play on the hill.... it's been too long.

    Oh yeah - just to warn people - I'll have to randomly stop at the side of the road at some stage to take a pic of the odo turning over!!! So if I stop, the Jade hasn't suddenly carked it. Yet.

    Weather Report

    It has been raining all night, and was LIGHTLY drizzling up until about 30 mins ago. It has stopped now. It's still almost completely clouded over, and the forcast is for more rain.

    BUT

    There is a big patch of lovely clearing sky looking like it wants to break in. My personal opinion is that since it's been raining all night, it might clear up. And, it might be fine over the hill. I'm going to take a chance and head out. Will get to Caltex between 10:30 and 11:00.

    Hope the weather plays ball, it's been ok-ish all week, and now this for the weekend. Oh, you are so cruel to us up there

    I heard rumours that there might be snow forecasted for the Rimutakas, but who knows? I'll head out anyway - better leave now actually. See you people out there.

    It's LIGHTLY drizzling again. Still going out though, and over the hill. Might be better on the other side. The weather will not win. Screw you weather god, I am the weather master

    Ok - well I would post photos but I don't know how.

    It turned out to be a real good ride compared to what it looked like it would be judging by the weather in Wgtn. It was sunny at Lake Ferry and what an awesome pub/cafe!!! I love it. Good kai, but a lil bit expensive I guess. (But then again I'm a stingy student). About 8 of us met up (I'm guessing the dodgey weather put off most of the others who were going to come) and the Jade had its "big moment" a few ks down the road between Featherston and Martinborough - woohoo!!!
    Thanks guys for coming to celebrate my bub's birthday!
    Btw - good to meet you Bear!

    Cmon, figure out how to post the pics of my beast (you need to attach a cable to the camera and the computer. Download photos onto the hard drive, upload them onto KB)
    What a fun ride, thanks for organising it Velox.

    Great to meet up with you guys, only took a few photos, unfortunately didn't get Stonechucker on his beast.

    Good on Stonechucker for taking his A100 over the takas and out to Lake Ferry!

    Pics....

    Ok - figured it out. I was trying to use the "Insert Image" button instead (which seems to do bugger all) but the "Manage Attachments" thing works way better. Sorry - means there's no previews though - I've been trying to "copy" the photos to the "Insert Image" box but all it does is copy its name and not the actual pic?! Can anyone help?

    So here they are - (hopefully)
    1 = WOOHOOOOO!!!!!
    2 = wait for it wait for it......
    3 = The "big moment"
    4 = Lake Ferry
    5 = Stonechucker and his new baby
    6 = Crazylittleshit on one of his 'better' days

    Ok - so the previews turn up automatically. That solves that one.

    Here's a few more....
    (The last one's for like-minded geog/geol nerds who also find this cliff very exciting!)
