Those figures don't seem to line up with others that have been bandied around in the past, the article is pretty vauge as to how the came up with them. In the past Rossi has been estimated as earning way more than figures qouted also last time Edwards re signed the figures being talked about were around 1.5-2m euro.

I think you're right. I remember a few years ago Shakey Byrne (however you spell it) raced for apprillia on their cube rocketship for a couple of years. When he came backt o BSB he was driving around in a lambo. Now he was a middle order rider on a small factory team, so I'm sure his wages would have been way less than what people like Edwards will be getting now. Maybe I'm wrong, and Shakey simply blew all his money on fast cars and women, but on 250K euro he would have blown half of it just on a car. In which case, he's my hero
