my problem is .... life is a journey

what i thought great ten years ago, i think is lame now

with pictures on a wall, you can move them around, change them when you get tired of them

...... but pictures on SKIN? ... and you can't see it until its done - what if the artist is crap and your soaring eagle comes out looking like a waddling duck or something? i mean, you can hardly send it back for a refund, can you?

recently, though, i HAVE thought about having 'The End' written in fancy script accross my bum ......... mebbe in a subtle maroon shade with gold highlights .......? what does anyone think? would i be making an arse of myself??
    ... ...

My tattoo artist is also a good friend, He sketches them out for you first anyway.

I have mixed opinions on whether I want my flames up my leg or not, not getting them till I know for sure. Never regretted my southern cross for an second.

    very cool.

I'd colour them - gonna get my eureka stars white before the summer.

Some of my motivation to get them came form a few islander guys I played basketball with. They had 'their story' in a geometric band on their arms.

Mine says i'm an aussie and proud of it - I really like kiwis who are as proudly patriotic about this place.

what i do notice when i go home to Sydney is how few people have tattoos (other than bikers).

Well, I am considering one. Have always liked the colour ones (not so much the 'old style' green tatts) but I wont go ahead til I find 'the one'. I like the look of Bio-mechainical but would probly reserve that for the second tatt since it would be pretty big for my first one.... Hmm something Japanese style combining swords/bikes/tribal......... until I know exactly what I want, I'll still be a blank canvas. But I do like Cookie's example, very nice man!

agreed... thats why i never pick anything off the wall just cos. my tat has to have a meaning behind it before i get it done. as i say....ive got an itch to get another but no idea what, where or why. im thinking about getting bike bike plates on my arm or something.

Mine is on the back of my left leg (the calf). It covers the entire muscle and it hurt like hell giving me a limp for about a week. It was done in Micronesia as a gift for something I did for someone (Helped save a kids life). It is an ancient Navigation chart they used on sea voyages. I was flying planes around the Pacific at the time and they saw it as an appropriate design. I was 42 at the time.

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
