Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32 bit issues

I have noticed that when opening certain pics on this site, in threads or in peoples profiles, my OS automatically goes into the 'welcome screen', and it keeps doing that when I attempt to look at those pics. I've never experienced that issue when browsing other web sites. I'm using Firefox 3.68.

I think you'll find the point is that neither of us uses ubuntu on the desktop (I do as a headless server but no desktop) so it's kinda difficult to troubleshoot. Also, this problem seems to be specific to ubuntu + firefox. Get Google Chrome for Linux or Opera and see they have a problem.

Personally, I'm not installing an entire OS just to see if there's a bug specific to that OS. Browsers yeah, an entire OS .... I've got better things to do.

I use ubuntu and firefox on a Asus eeepc as my desktop, and I don't have any issues with the images etc.

You could try creating a new user in your os, and use that user and see if you have the same issue. This would tell you if it is just a preference that has been set or not.

You could also try opera, or chrome as well.

Also check out the extensions if any you have installed in to firefox.

    Good luck..

    I'm using Ubuntu and Opera.

The site reloads over and over and over, then eventually settles. Have noticed it in Windows and Opera too.

Server is not completing the page correctly methinks and instead of just reporting "done with errors" Opera attempts to reload the page.
