A 750 Shadow on the other hand...All I've seen from phill-k is shit, knocking what others have to say. And he rides a 750 Shadow. No wonder he's so angry and negative.

Good music for the time I reckon, he could certainly sing beautifully and knew his craft well but I think to a certain degree does'nt translate fully into this era like some other singers/bands music does. Another words I listen to a tune of his once and think "yeah that guy had skills, good music". I'm not inspired to download any of his music to the iPod though.
Which reminds me, must scour iTunes for some Doobie Brothers...

First ever music I bought was Glen Cambell's greatest... (I think it was his greatest hits) Used to go out to the Old man's '74 ZG Ford Fairlane (Ozzy assembled) and listen to it 'coz we did'nt have a tape player in the house at the time.

It's all doof doof, bling, boobies and arse these days. And they call themselves "musicians"

Off topic but if you want to endure a trip to the dentist, listen to Glee and the rehash of classic songs by wannabe banshees. Enough to make you want to fill your ears with concrete. (Oh the punishment kids can inflict)

I do love folk music. If you want some inspirational watching check out the docco about Pete Seeger... There is something neat about simple music anyone can sing a long too...

I was putting it down to artistic temperament... and maybe brinking too much ;-)

I was more really interested in why people have such a violent negative reaction to him...

John Denver was, is, and always will be way better than all the doof doof, tits and arse waving gangsta bullshit that gets pumped out these days.

I just think its very odd - he was amazingly popular and globally known...

My question is why? personally I think he gets a raw deal...
I think he gets a raw deal too............but so did Abba. Just became uncool to like! Barry Manilow will always be uncool though

I'd like to know more about his secret trips to NZ, but then I guess they wouldn't be a secret?

    Barry Manilow no wayyyy.

Partial to Neil Diamond,Glen Campbell was the classic guy to bring country to mainstream, along with JD,Kenny Rogers and others, but the others suck(country musos).
