"Must haves" for the track day junkie

Got thinking today. In the past year or so a few friends and I have become quite addicted to track days. Hopefully we can go racing in a few years. I was thinking, of the essentials I bring with me on a track day - basics that I think are necessary. For me those include:

    1. Black Electrical tape
    2. Cable ties
    3. Replacement levers and foot pegs
    4. Air pressure gauge
    5. Basic tools (pliers, screwdrivers etc...)

I was thinking, that those probably gonna be different for different track day "junkies", so lets hear what goes in the top five for you - regular track day goers. Obviously racers will be way up on the scale of track addicts, so your input is more than welcome

Then picking up the ones that fail

A set of Pirelli tyres... http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...-Ex-race-tyres

Seriously though, I always take at least a couple of Mizone (or similar) sports drinks with me. It's really important to keep yourself hydrated. Try to drink as often as you can.

Tyre warmers are worth looking at if you're a regular track dayer, cost isn't too bad, you'll maximise time on track, and not have to worry about "are they warm yet?" thoughts.

Plus you'll be able to buy ex race rubber and save your expensive road tyres.

Back when Me and Bruce started doing 'em we just turned up with the bikes and riding gear, some pies and something to drink.
Now I take so much shit I can't fit it all in the 4WD....
Start simple, I'd recommend a couple of spare levers, some duct tape, cableties and a few tools. Any more than that you're prolly gonna be farked anyhoo.
Like Tony said, ex race tyres and warmers are a good idea - I've crashed on cold tyres being careful....but then you need a genny....and stands...etc etc

Half the fun for me is the garage based fiddling and i always take to the track EVERY tool i use when working on the bike at home, plus two of certain spanners and allen keys so me and my Dad can work on the bike simultaneously at the track for extra speed between sessions. Though since i put Dzus fasteners on the fairing, time isn't such an issue anymore.

I've got replacements for all the footpeg hanger and foot control related parts - including a gearshift link rod. I actually have two spare selector shafts now too. I've got two sets of handle bars, a complete spare front brake master cylinder, resevoir and lever assembly, spare throttle cables and throttle twist grip/tube thing, spare clutch lever, bracket and cable. I take a second set of fully dressed wheels with Avon wets on them, a whole stack of different size front and rear sprockets. I take a spare regulator/rectifier and a fresh battery and enough ready made premix to do a full days riding, so enough for up to 7 x 20 minute sessions. The list goes on and on...

I properly FILL the van so its just aswell that my bike is so small!
