Well it was certainly "cool" alright! The sight of all the new snow on the mountains on way home explained why it was so fecking cold on Saturday night. Friday night was a good one though and the rain didn't arrive until around 1pm on Sat. Fine and blue for packing up this morning. The rozzers did their party trick again of stopping everyone leaving the site for a breath check. This time setup on a straight bit of road 1/2 a km or so towards town.

I took bugger all photo's this time around, in fact I only took one photo, I'm sure you'll recognise the suspect in her usual pose ...

That was the wettest rally I've ever been to. Fortunately the Harley guys didnt park in all the stables so I was able to set the tent up in the dry. Anyone know what the attendance was?

The Timaru Herald listed attendance as being only 2020. Despite the rain it was still a chance to catch up, drink and enjoy a few laughs. And enjoy a great ride home a little chilled but without the rain

Ended up heading away, and had a great trip, esp seeing the fresh snow on the hills back through Omarama and Tekapo, winter is on its way. Shame about all the rain, but makes for memories, wet pants, wet sox, wet hat, wet bag, wet tent, wet human both in and out.

You would be right about that Mrs Shrek. The Route 72 had some drizzle, the Long drop put on fantastic weather, the commute to and from Woodstock was wet but great weather on the Saturday. The weather last weekend was a bench mark in rain for me. Glad I went though, The last March Hare I attended was in '87
