Photos for race day now all uploaded.
Soooooo many cool photos, nice![]()
Very Impressed so many angles and views cheers Damien
Great photos
Thanks
Always good to see photos of your self so we can see if we have got technique right
Or cringe when it looks really bad
Thanks for all your time taking the photos
We know you would rather be out there
Hope the injuries heal fast
Thanks guys. I love being out there on the track but it is starting to hurt more than it should and I also miss watching the fantastic racing while capturing the action on camera. I'll stick to the sidelines with the camera for a while now and see how things go. Here is a photo of the top half of the bruising on my lower back - not pretty!

Photos by my bro' Ray. I only managed to complete 4 slow laps on this practice day, taking it easy with my injured knee. A new young guy, first timer at Mt Welly and going much faster than me, went to overtake and clipped me, taking us both down. I landed on the concrete ripple strip (that stuff hurts). Oh, I also hurt the bad knee, setting the healing back to what it felt like two weeks ago. Ray captured the last part of the accident - see link for photos.
Nice pictures, ugly bruise. Hope that heals in a hurry and that the knee follows not far behind.
Daimen.. That looks terrible.. did you have a back protector on?
I feel unsafe without one now .. even started to wear it on the road.

I was wearing my back protector but it does not go down that far. I will have better protection there before I ride again. Have a close look at the Mt. Welly ripple strips. It is like hitting a small kerb.

I'll wait till I'm 100% fit before making any decisions. I expect that to be many weeks away.
The interesting thing is that my engine is now running better than ever before. It is not even properly run in after the rebore, high-lift cams and skimmed barrels. I have not been able to fully test it yet. It's a pity the old body is not in such good shape - it needs a rebuild!

Damien, take your time but don't give up on racing, its still safer than riding on the road..........
