    1986 Honda CX400 Custom seat removal

    Hi

    I have just bought a CX400 custom the choke cable is broken so I need to replace it (also replacing indicators) my question, How do I remove the seat so I can get to the carb end of the choke cable?

    Can't remember the exact layout on the plastic maggots, (fond nickname for CX's).
    Either one retaining bolt either side, behind the sidecovers, (probably 12mm bolt head), or a key lock thingy on the left side. I'm picking it's the bolts. Remove side covers. MHO

    Its two bolts right at the back of the seat, the front two that hold the pack rack on.
    Original bolts are 2 inchs long with allen heads, a previous owner must have lost the original bolts then wacked some 5 inch standard bolts with a different tread patten and bolted then right in so I couldnt get a spanner or scoket on them.
    Got one out the other is stuck, so I have drilled the head off, taken the pack rack off, now need to get some vice grips and remove the bolt, got to love old bikes with dodgey repairs!!!!
