    HLD helmets.

    Hey all,
After hitting a fantail at about 130km/h directly with my helmet, I have managed to destroy it,
So I need a new skid lid,
I just wanna know what people think about the HLD helmets, I was looking at something with an internal sun visor,
Im looking for a helmet under $300.

    Cheers.

Killing a fantail is considered bad luck. If you deposit $100 into my account I can absolve you of that bad luck.

I was just reading a review of the new Bell M1 helmets - I remember when Bell helmets were the bomb, then they disappeared from motorcycledom. They are back and appear to offer a lot for the price - $350 ish.

I'm going to try one on.

    i have one.

they do pack out, and they are a little noisy and the vents dont work.

Otherwise everything seems ok. Just your average helmet really.. nothing spesh

if your budget is around 300.. go talk to colemans suzuki for a HJC IS 16. when i bought a new bike with them they offered me one for under 300. So if you sweek talk them, you never know

and they do have the internal sunvisor thing, all i heard is good reviews about the HJC is 16. Worth a looksies

I have one of the HJC helemts with internal sun visor...absolutely love it..comfortable, not too noisy and the visor is brillaint...make sure you at least try it on
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone

go to a couple bike shops and try a few lids on. There are some farking nice ones if you spend an extra 150 or so... the shops are hapy to let you try them all on if they think you might buy from them!! Rick at MCR in dunedin is pretty good, if ya tell him I sent ya, he'll look after ya all right!

Mate of mine got the M1 the other day, it's a great helmet for the money. they do some real good gear now, i'm looking at getting one of those fancy Carbon jobbies soon. They are so comfortable on and so light.
    Trumpydom!
