Does anyone think this guy can offer anything worth while to NZ politics?

I wish JK would lay the smack down and tell the Maori Party that if they don't get rid of him (Harawira) then he will go elsewhere for support. It would be a rough few months but on that pretense I think the Nats would govern alone after next election. They would have my vote anyway

I wouldn't read too much into that, it's no more than most parents would feel about who their kids come home with.
I would feel the same toward my grandchildren too and they are part Maori anyway!
When they do eventually bring home their preferred "partners" they will be made welcome and accepted into the family anyway!

The thing is though, if I understand correctly the brainwashing they attempt at Uni, is that Maori leaders don't want a united nation, one nation, one people; they want an "us and them" situation, they want Maori rights as Tangata whenua and all the extras that comes with. But remember, it's only white folks that are racist.

You know, it's common for Polititians to make dangerous statements to get issues "out in the air" (Michael Laws springs to mind), but I just can't shake the feeling that Harawira actually believes what he says.

If I was Maori, I would be embarrassed by his statements.

I am sure his statement is not typical of Maori, and I know they are not in line with any Maori person I know personally.
