Just new to the scene myself and had maybe 20 or 30 of illegal road kilometres (nil off road) experience before i did my BHS with Passrite in Hamilton. $180 from memory, might be another option for you. They supplied the bikes but not helmets if i remember correctly (already had most of me own gears anyhow)

Also, when you guys get some wheels, dont forget the Waikato Tag-A-Rama for when you need some idea of direction when you go for a ride.

See my sig for where the tags have already been

called passrite in auckland, he put me straight about the hamilton branch having bikes.
so looking there now, closer to home, end up talking to the guy who runs the courses for about 15-30 mins.

one on one training for about 2 hours and the required certificate at the end ($180)

sorry for the necro post, but didn't think cluttering the board was a good idea.

    well tomorrows the big day.

off to auckland first thing in the morning, BHS course and test at 11:30.
then off to pick up FlyingGirls bike, then mine later in the afternoon.

friday theory at VTNZ and off to buy the required gear. then off for our first ride
