    Sound familiar?

With all the angst of late about "our" image and how "we" should work to improve it before bad things happen to us because of a thoughtless few...

I thought I would share a fairly standard email I received today from a 4wd forum I still subscribe to.

Today I was standing in my drive way on Peak Rd, within 10k of Extreme Park,
Helensville. At 1600 a single cab 4wd on big muds, high springs, and shock,
went past three vehicles on the wrong side of the road. The turbo was
singing. It was a redy orange. I was at the wrong angle to see the plate.
If I had caught the plate, I would have reported it for dangerous use. We
have a passion and enthusiasm for off roading. Wankers who do stuff like
that take us to the place we do not want to be. They are why we end up
having to conform to boy racer rules, for idiots that use their vehicles
like this. As I build a faster off-roader it becomes slower by road. To
watch an idiot do that past our farm so disillusions me. At the time there
was kids on horses, bikes, and having fun after school. What happens when
this reported to mainstream media. How bad do we all look? How do we control
this stupid behaviour for our sport?
So - as members (assumedly) of the non-4wd public, how much time do you spend thinking about this menace on our roads and to whom do you complain to "get something done about it"?

It must be as least as much time as those who are out to get us - surely?

I know the guy that made that comment.
He owns a Nissan Patrol - calls himself Patman.
All the 4wders think he is a wonker

What do we think of Muslims who wont speak out against or condemn their extremist terrorist brethren committing murder and mayhem in the name of Islam!

What do we think of the Maori party and leaders not speaking out against Maori gangs and activists when they don't honour the treaty and make racial attacks and slur's against other New Zealanders!

The same thing as they feel about motorcyclists who wont speak out and condemn dangerous and antisocial behaviour by their motorcycling brethren too I suppose!

Are we slow learners or something!
