Smile AMCC Advanced Rider Training Days

    Hi all,

Enjoying the winter? Developing those wet riding skills? Putting into practise what you picked up with us last year? Looking forward to doing it again?

Below are the dates currently set aside for ART days at Pukekohe Park Raceway.
We hope to add additional dates in November, January and February too, so watch for developments either here or the AMCC web site.
Circuit costs amongst others have gone up slightly so there will be a slight increase in the price we are going to have to charge and this is yet to be set so again keep a look out here or on the web site.

    October 3rd
    December 12th
    January 16th
    April 17th

We haven't been stood still over the winter, we have still been working away in the background developing our day, working on improving our high tech aids, working with our sponsors and attracting new ones and ensuring what we provide on the day is as good as we can make it.

As ever our aim is to make the day as enjoyable as possible for you so you can get the maximum benefit from your efforts ; Any ideas you have or suggestions please let us know.

    Further update;

Cost; small increase for you guys this year I'm afraid. We haven't passed on all the cost increase's to us onto you however.

Non AMCC members = $160 per day (this includes a one year membership to the AMCC)
AMCC club members = $120 per day. These costs include lunch and a drink on the day.
Those in the know will realise this is a $20 increase from last season.

We are working on a discount package for multipale day bookings (we have been asked alot about this) meaning the more days you book the more you save. Watch this space for developments on this.

Back protectors are compulsory from now on. If you don't have one or can't borrow one (we will be checking) pop along to Cycletreads, mention ART and see what an awesome deal they will do for you on one.

Groups 1 and 2, minimum gear requirements is two piece cordura or leather and it must be zipped together. If it doesn't see Kerrie Peterson at MSW 3099522 and again mention ART and she will sort your gear out at a very minimal cost.

Group 3, as groups 1 & 2 but our preference is for you to wear leather, you may progress in your riding and need to move to group 4 where you will need to be wearing full leather.

Group 4, leather only one piece or two piece zip together.

Entry forms for the first event are up on our web site http://www.amcc.org.nz/advanced it has only been there for a few hours and groups are already starting to fill up!
While your there check the rest of the ART pages for information on the day and the instructors available to you.

Why not just increase the cost of entry for the day to break even (I'd suggest running it at a minor profit to cover "bad" unforseen things happening)? I don't see any point in running the training day at a loss.

You either pay for it on the day, or make up for the loss in your annual club membership - but either way you'll be paying for it.

And for those that attend but don't renew their club membership - that just means every other club member is now subsidising that person.

The event was fully subscribed last year, so decreasing demand slightly is not likely to hurt anything.

Its all good Phil, we are a not for profit organisation and we do ensure that costs both 'seen' and 'unforseen' are covered.
Having fully subscribed groups does make this all possible. I guess we must be doing something right eh!

Hmm - I'm guessing I'm an AMCC member based on attending an ART day earlier this year.

Might have to organise a return trip to Pukekohe and figure out how to stay out of the sand trap.

If anyone wants a cheap back protector or set of two piece leathers hit me up.
I will eventully get around to listing them on trademe.

Membership renewals were just due ... so maybe not if you didn't renew.

Am I right in thinking, if I did a few of these days this season, only the 1st one will be $160, the rest will be $120?

It reads that way, but I thought I'd make sure.
    Ciao Marco
