Update;
KB's very own Sloan (CHOPPA) Frost will be our 'star Instructor' for the day.
If you have been following his progress in the winter series there is nothing more I can add other than he is one of New Zealands rising stars in Bike racing and is currently campaining one one of BMW's massivly powerful M1 Superbikes and leading the series run at Manfield
He will have with him his super fast BMW's and be available for hints and tips for getting around a race circuit quickly. He will be happy to lead anyone round the circuit, follow and give feedback on what you could do to improve your experience or lap times.
His main contribution will be directed to the group 4 riders but he will be available to anyone on the day to answer questions and give advice.
Every day is seeing more and more entries in so dont delay in registering > http://www.amcc.org.nz/uploads/richa...t2010Entry.pdf
Hi guys n gals,
3rd October is filling fast
If you intend to book into groups 2 or 3 then I suggest you do it now!!
They are the first to fill and are likley to be full very soon
Group 1 has a few places left and again is likely to be full soon too.
Groupo 4 places still available, so club racers this is an opportunity to give the bike and yourself a test prior to the first round in two weeks time.
Use the entry form on line at http://www.amcc.org.nz/advanced or visit the club rooms on a Thursday evening and pick up an entry form.
Please visit the web site especially if its your first time or you havent been for a while its full of hints and tips for yourself and your bike preperation and introduces some of the personel involved in the day
We are little over three weeks off the start of our season.
Groups 2, 3 & 4 are almost full but unusually we still have places in group 1.
http://www.amcc.org.nz/advanced-art for the entry form.
Group 1 is aimed at riders who have never been on a circuit before, who are conscious of the gaps in their skill levels and want to improve their ability to control their motorcycle.
Understanding how a motorcycle reacts to the inputs you give it in a controlled enviroment, with the ability to practise the same thing over and over (lap after lap) again will fast track your learning and improve your confidence.
Group 1 has the highest concentration of instructors whose sole purpose is for you to get the most out of each theory and practical session. Be assured in this group it is not like the usual track day designed for ‘blowing away cobwebs’; this group in particular is very closely monitored not only by the instructors but by the travelling marshals, circuit marshals and the Clerk of the Course
We are very conscious of the speed differentials between small and large capacity machines and ensure the riders in this group don’t get intimidated by high speed passing. You need to be concentrating on what your doing and not worrying about what missile is going to fly past you and when. (We have other groups for the faster riders). Read our feed back page on our web site http://www.amcc.org.nz/advanced-art-art_feedback
We have experts on hand all day to supply, fit and balance tyres, advise on machine set up, suspension adjustment and retail sales for a range of motorcycle gear and accessories.
If you want to improve your skill level, grow in confidence with your machine control or have thought about a track day but been put off, come on an ART day.
If you still have a doubt come out to the circuit anyway and see what goes on for yourself, chat to anyone there or seek one of organisers out (every body is friendly) and see if it’s for you and maybe we will see you on the circuit next time.
Cheers KG

Hey there,
Any places left?? i've just got the new engine in and want to bed it in, so am cool with group slow. If all is working well, am happy to be plugged into anything quicker, if all doesn't go properly i can always remove myself to the car park to sulk.
I'm booked. In the slow group of course. Any other poor souls on Learner or Restricted licenses going to be there? Can't wait, my first time on the track. I'll bring a book for the back straight![]()
I'll be there, in the slow group too
Is anyone going from west want to ride down with me?
...and might anyone have a spare back protector they wouldn't mind lending for the day? Just read last night even group 1 needs one!
Awesome thanks :-)
