you are looking at around 6 1/2 hrs, allowing for rest stops and refuling make that 7 hrs. Thats keeping to the speed limit.

7 hrs?!? Pretty sure I could make it from Dunedin in 7 hrs.

Yeah 4 was the time I had in my head for 'just make it' (& cut into ferry report time) but didn't want to lead anyone into a I did it in 2 story.

5 sounds like the budget - Cheers Bud.

allow 6 from ChCh................. having done it twice in last two months .......and at 3-4 in morning.
The amount of trucks and cops has increased 10 fold in the last year.
If ya prepared to get pinged and dont mind a few "dodgy" overtaking scenes then go for 5!!!

    Hey there Dave !
You should count on over 4.5 hrs, but probably less than 5 hrs
I can't imagine how you would chew up 7 hrs, and (from memory) anything approaching 4 hrs is a mad mission

Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

I have done it in 3hrs 20 but that was in a car. In the van I don't think I have ever taken over 4.5 hours to get to the terminal. Usually one stop for fuel in either Amberly or Blenheim. Maybe a granny in her diahatsu charade did it in 7 hours?
