    eek Must stay awake!

Ok so I have an essay I wanna finish tonight but I also have a 4000 word essay I wanna try and get pretty much finished by Friday.

What, if anything, do people use to stay awake and lucid? I need to be reasonable coherent to be able to get all my work done.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

4,000 words? What's the topic? We may be able to help out -- a couple of paras each, should have it cut by 11:00pm...

The more you eat the more tired you feel. And the faster you burn the energy the more tired you'll feel afterwards.

Tricks: Do a couple of pushups every twenty minutes or so. Don't over do it otherwise all you'll do is make yourself feel more tired.

Caffenine will only work for a while. 3-4 is the hardest time to stay awake, if you can get past that point you'll probably make it till 11 the next day. After that you won't be able to do much, and I certainly wouldn't recommend riding/driving anywhere, until you've had at least 8 hours of sleep.

It's a piece about community development....

It's just a made up story really but it's a made up story that has to incorporate Structural Analysis and the tools of Community work and a whole lot of other stuff. We have to choose a social, political or organisational issue - I chose sole parents in the Newtown, Berhampore, Mirimar, Kilbirnie area...lots on an income of $10 - $15,000. Oh did I mention it's worth 45%

By the by - my friend who has 2 kids and is a sole parent gets less on the DPB (and she is studying full time) that I do on the student allowance!! FFS!

Interesting topic. In a past life I was involved with the Housing New Zealand community renewal projects in Aranui, Porirua and Glen Innes. But I suspect I don't have the necessary academic metrics sufficient to win over those who will mark your efforts. Great topic though. I would have trouble confining myself to 4,000 words!

No-Doz. I just got a box today, havn't tried them yet but a mate at uni swears by them. They have about the same amount of caffeine in each tab as a bottle of V energy drink. And the best part is they only cost $8 a box of 24 tabs.

You know, i find that I can stay awake longer when I'm riding my bike or working out. Eating does make me tired though.

If you play music while studying CSL, play loud and fast stuff. Stuff that gives you energy.

plenty of water, you will have to go to the toilet more but thats not necceseraly a bad thing as stretching your legs every so often will help you focum more when you get back. DONT drink loads of coffee. The buzz will wear off and you will be twice as tired. Use this as the last resort.
If i have time i usualy sneek in 30min sleep and then finish conclusion and than i dont have to sleep anymore till next night.
Ive done a few in 3 years of uni, but i try to avoid allnighters when possible.

Well I've never done an all nighter before I usually tend to lose steam about 1am. I normally need my 8 hours a night or I'm a zombie by the end of the week but I really wanna get everything done. Exams in 2 weeks so I wanted to have this w/e to chiiiiiiiiiill. Oh well we'll see how it goes.

    I'm on the water now.

    Thanks for the tips y'all.
