What kind of idiot does this?

I saw scooter rider today who had obviously recently got a new helmet. I know it was new because THEY STILL HAD THE PROTECTIVE FILM ON THE VISOR. At least I hope they hadn't been riding with it for very long. You know the film thing that has all the writing on it telling about how good the particular helmet and visor are? It doesn't matter how good your helmet is if you cant see through the bloody visor. Who would be stupid enough to leave that on?

    Heh, fair enough.

But surely being able too see would prevent scratches more?

nah its an image thing, how are others supposed to know what a fancy-pants helmet the rider has if they take the thingumy off?

I wonder if the salesman watched him ride off like that.
    Hope he waved.

I guess it's the same mentality that makes people keep the plastic cover on their cell-phone screens.

I watch a guy peering with great difficulty at his phone, turning it to get the best light for reading. The plastic film was in a terrible state.

    The conversation went like this:

"Why don't you remove that plastic fim?"

"I don't want the screen to get scratched."

    "Why not?"

"Cos it will make the phone hard to read..."

Perhaps he doesn't need to see and just feels the force!
