I found just the opposite, and it had me bemused that they didn't put more effort into making maths more practical. F'rinstance, I found remembering trigonometry made it much easier when calculating dimensions when cutting out panels, when I knew some dimensions, and some angles, and needed to work out the other dimensions and angles.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Boyle's Gas law is very important for such careers as aviation, refrigeration, motor mechanics (yes, that includes motorcycles) etc. In fact aywhere where gas may be compressed and/or condensed.

I'm interested in how you managed to get into a physics course without a basic understanding of algebra. As the course develops you are also going to require vector algebra and abstract algebra, so I would suggest that you not only use the help you get by asking here, but learn the how and why behind it. It will help you in the long run.

I'm surprised that someone who is clever enough to study physics at a university level has swastikas all over his profile.

It's an ancient Hindu and Buddhist symbol.

Yes it is but I would think that is only because most people are ignorant of the history of the symbol and how long it was around for before it was used by them

So SMOKEU are you saying you use it for the religious association with Hinduism, Buddhism etc? I think there's a Tui add in there somewhere
