However it goes, I am glad that someone has picked it up and the TRRS is going to run again, a big thanks to Nigela and the Pacific Club.

And no thanks to MNZ for butting in on a successful format that worked well...........
Not quite sure what you mean here
As far as I am aware MNZ have not put up any costs
The reason it is costing more this years is because all the Tuesday races, and the 3 hour, are being electronically timed
This is something that Andy and Chris had already planned for this year.

And possibly because Scrivy isint subsidising the cost to competitors through his business this year, to the tune of about 10k.
I think the governing body have achieved what they had hoped to with this.

I would need 1 lap plus to turn 4

Mine is on the way. Posted Saturday, with the way NZ Post works these days you should have it about Thursday.
The only issue I can see with the whole qualifying A B thing is the amount of hours in the day.

MNZ were so concerned (jealous maybe) that someone might be making a Dollar they demanded an audited set of accounts from the organizers and wouldn’t give a new permit to the people who put the TRSS together each year (Chris and Co.) unless they got one….……

MNZ weren't smart enough to encourage a successful event that was growing each year.............now that's cleaver that is..........a real bunch of genius's...

I'd vote for them but my vote probably doesn't count since I race buckets and we all know that's not real motorcycle racing.

Thats kinda weird, because the organisers wernt making any money off it at all. The TRRS was costing Andy Scrivener over $10,000 of his own money to put on every year. He just wanted to see a great meeting go off & was happy to put his money up to see it happen.
I know these things because Andy has been closer than a brother to me for over 25 years.

On our way home last year, I started thinking about it all and figured he was putting his own money up for some of it. When you figure that each marshall was $80 a day, we had food & drink supplied, entertainment, hireage of the track, promotional stuff (including programmes) and each rider was paying $125? plus $10 (I think, but may have been $20) for us hangers on, not many spectators, there was no way in hell it was covering costs.

I had said I'd flag for free this year to save him some coin, but knew it wasn't much in the scheme of things. And now I'm still figuring out whether to ride or not, and pretty undecided at this stage, but that's up to me.
