A few photos from the GP race

Somewhere in there you can see how hard Julie fought during the race, she's a fair distance back early on in the race, but just about bet Henk at the finish.
Well ridden Julie. Wonder how long till we see you in the A grade at Mt Welly. No way should you be racing me from now on - you know you can do way better than that
Was a bit disappointed my bike wouldn't play, but also enjoyed spectating. Riding around with absolutely no power was bloody scarey, and I didn't think it right for me too attempt to get out there again. Still not sure what the hell that was, seemed more like rider f'up than the bike, like I couldn't handle the track and was killing the bike by riding it (very similar symptoms to the van, but the bike should be cheaper to fix than the van).
I won't say next year I'll try again, as I'm over it and the score is big tracks 2 me 0. Fun factor at Taupo was a winner, though.
Am wondering if anyone knows why Shelracing didn't turn up - definitely missed the two of them there, but hopefully we'll see them sometime next year.

Photos of both days are now up at http://picasaweb.google.com/pipsons5
Thanks pipson. Good photo's.
Gongrats to Andrew and Richard for doing really well. Their raw ability and talent blew me away as they blew past me as as if I was standing still.![]()
Well done to Adrian with finishing 11th on road tyres in that weather.
I'm looking forward to see them battling it out down here next year. Now to convince Fish, Hamish and the rest of the Wellington A grader to be their next year...
Lets hope this year I can get more of my riding confidence back I had as a top ten finish next year would be fab
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.
I'm back at work so thought I would put in a quick report. I had a good time after all the stress leading up to the event. I was building up another motor when within 20 minits of running it sezed the big end. Two weeks befor Taupo. A few hundred dollars and several more hours it was going again. In the first practice it seemed to be going good but about lap 7 it faded and I did a few slower laps. Didnt have the correct jet so went richer. It didnt run as well but I didnt dare touch it. On the dry day I took my RS125 for my first ride. What a machene. I did the GP race what a blast. Its a pig to get off the line and I was being polite and was happy at the back. Got it cranked up and thought I did well. It also felt so fast. Anyway back to the real racing. Day 2 stink weather. Had three good hard races. Gav was putting up a good battle. In the GP in turn 5 I went down a gear to much and had the back end drifting around on me. A bit of a blond moment. Any way keepet it together.
Good to meet most of the bucket racers there and pit with the Toman boys and some Welly boys. The next day was a craker like the 27th.
All in all had a great time and very happy with my results. Also very pleased the Richard didnt need an ambo this time and made it to the podium. Well done Rich.
Now next time I go out I will expect Glen and Fishy to school me up on how to ride fast on a go kart track!
Two times in a row & a welly lad with it.
Hip Hip
. . . now we just need to get you a nice little 2 stroke, MB100 or TS or summit.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
You have to wear that #1 plate now mate and Rich #3![]()
It's not what you ride but how you ride it!!
Yep fellas you should change your number ..twice in a row Andrew No1
I have a pair of 5th I'm tempted' Edwards number is cool!!

Yeh nah. No number 3 for me. I think Andrew should wear the number 1 with pride. 2 in a row is the shiz. What would be nice would be a proper GP race. 24 laps. After racing BOB and Taupo. I think BOB is better. Great track, the event is all about the buckets and the racing is hardcore. 2 cents.
GP always used to be a decent length race. We have to take what we get to some extent & the previous GPs had been held in Auckland on a kart track, which was hard work & not the best venue for a GP race or for others to participate (I was pretty much only welly person to do those Auckland GPs).
I think a decent length race would be better for the largest class.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
