There are heaps of websites with carb tuning info. Do some reading & research. Was this conversion on some TTR website? A magazine may have done it but it isn't set up for local conditions, or they didn't change the jets.
There are several jets that may need to be changed, rarely a twiddle of a air mixture screw will be enough or affect the area you have an issue with. Further you may need to see that accel pumper is operational if fitted.
You need to find not just a mechanic who repairs stuff by replacing stuff, but a tuner who has experience in carb swaps etc. I don't know who you'd try in Auckers. The dyno experienced might be a good start, but ask if they do this stuff often, or if the experienced chap just left & someone is juping in thier shoes.
Research so you know what questions to ask.
