It's a can of worms.The test is not really relevant.
Take 4 people who are convinced by the prevailing propaganda that they are automatically bad drivers if they have a drink and put them in front of a video game where there are no consequenses to an "accident" and the results will be poor.Put them in a real car on a real road and most people will compensate for their inebriation by driving more moderately.The aggressive "bad drunks" are the problem.

I recall an experiment where a group were told they were drinking an alcoholic drink (they weren't) and they started behaving like drunken fuckwits.

Back in the MOT cop days I was told by a cop that the problem lies with a small subset of drinkers and they should be harassed to the point where they no longer misbehave or give up driving all together.But that requires real human cops and not the robots we have today.
But concentrate on alcohol because it can be measured -forget about driving while distracted (radio,phones passengers etc) because the robocops might get into an arguement with the offender.Ignore failure to keep left.

It's just more bullshit promoted by RoadPol.

Excellent post by Pixie.

The actual limit is not important, as no one actually knows if they are over it, until stopped and tested.

Drivers therefore fall into two groups.

Those who self limit. They will not drive when they feel they are unsafe.

Those who could not care less. They will drive regardless of the rules.

Lowering the limit may provide more "catches" just as lowering the speed limit would. But it wont stop a single real drunk, he will be driving anyway.

So how would you tackle the 'root of the problem' ? you are talking about.

If you do not have the answer to that then what is the (root of the problem) ?

0Tolerance for drink and drive cases simple really, you drink then you do not drive, one level for all 0.

If caught mandatory 30 days at the camp....

She was so much more composed than the indian lady on cambell live who was legless after two beers, now if only more ladies were cheap dates like her . Im sure that massive woman would have been sweet to drive.

The problem is that some people are drinking too much alcohol before they operate a motor vehicle. It's a simple as that. Do you have a realistic solution to that problem?
