Finished work at 7am this morning. should be starting back on tuesday but have an extra shift tomorrow. Mmmm I like double time.... I work 4days on/4 days off so I get a long weekend every week and still find it hard to get out on the bike with family commitments etc.

Well I'm still off on ACC - otherwise I would have been working the whole weekend.

I didn't want to waste one of my precious 52 days sick leave on anything less than perfect riding conditions (which today is most definitely not!)... oh and maybe a sick child, or even worse a sick me!!

I suppose I am lucky that when the time comes, I have 53 days of leave owing

And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Not much point when I have to work every Saturday, 9am until 3pm.

I don't even get Monday off! Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay for doing something you love.
