Bike for a girlie? (new to biking)

Got a friend interested in getting herself a licence/bike.

    Bike has to be:
    -Faired
    -Cheap

I'm thinking either a tidy FXR150, or if she can save up a bit more a CBR125. I'm thinking a Hyobag is a bit too big/heavy (she's not the biggest thing) and a ninja 250 is probably a little out of the price range. Opinions would be appreciated,
    Cheers

The CBR125 is also part of Honda's current specials I think, $4500

However, I would really try to talk her out of a faired bike. I know girls like the pretty fairings, but they cost more when they get dropped (and learners usually drop their bikes).

You know girls and pretty things. Wouldn't be surprised if she sprayed the entire thing pink.

Budget is like student budget, so wouldn't be looking at anything new

    FXR is cool.

Hard to drop, easy to pick up.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Prettier than an FXR, and has more power, without being intimidating

I think she'd be somewhere from 5'-5'4" I'll take her out for a go on my old GT250R, around an abandoned carpark, to see how she goes.

I'm 5'4" and the hyo would have been too big for me when I first started. Perhaps look into a Kwaka GPX, same bombproof engine as they've put in the new ninja but with the original 80's style fairings.

Get a ZXR 250 best of the 250's as far as I have ridden...

you don't want to spend too much on a bike as most people flick them on once they have got their full licence.

    Ninja 250

As cliche as it may sound this Kawa is a really good bike to learn on. I have ridden 11000 k's on mine (just sold tonight) and it has been awesome- enough weight to let you know where your centre of balance lies, small enough for us shorter ladies, great looking, great handling and braking
