    Hyphenated married names

You know how people like to hyphenate married names? Like Kensington-Smythe and the like?

Sometimes you just plain shouldn't. See why below. Feel free to add your own...

    Looney - Warde
    Best - Lay
    Busch - Rash
    Wang - Holder
    Beaver - Wetter
    Filler - Quick
    Drinkwine - Layer
    Gowen - Geter
    Weener - Whipple
    Kuntz - Dick
    Busch - Graber
    Wacker - Dailey
    MacDonald - Berger
    Butts - McCracken

All these are from newspaper wedding photo clips...the mind boggles...

Some of those stretch the bounds...

    But Long-Dick could exist.
    And Tidy-Hole...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Teacher at our school was Mr Keene, first name Wayne. His daughter, who attended the school, was called Joanna. However, everyone knew her as Jo.

I know of a Shaw-Twilley (not sure if his given name was Ivor though)

I also know of a Drew Peacock!. Beggers belief that he doesn't call himself Andrew!

There was (is still?) a plumber in New Plymouth, name of Jim Pipe. He called his son Dwayne...

I wonder if it's the same Drew Peacock who's brother Chris Peacock I've worked with a lot.
