I get to use a red pen. And save other people from themselves...

Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] noun: a mythical entity presiding over bikers
Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

I'm a self-employed Fire Alarm Service Contractor. Worked for a large multi-national outfit until about 2 years ago, when I left to set up my own business.

Job positives: Great variety of work, never boring. Get to follow the big red trucks around to fires. Good money.

Negatives: On call 24/7/365, which limits biking opportunities (although in summer I tend to have some "extended lunch breaks"). Being self-employed, I spend my days working and my evenings / weekends doing the paperwork (although since finding KB my paperwork has suffered somewhat - can't understand why).

Recent Business (IT/eBusiness double major) grad - looking for some business analysis project management work -- while doing some Information Analysis for a going broke IT security firm - and no, it actually is more boring than it sounds..... basically I get paid to read e-mails..........and understand what they mean as I process them.

But I get to work from home and the pay (when it comes) is OK.......

So perks of the job are 5 second daily commute and unrestricted access to KB.
