And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Now at age 74 I do what I feel like doing as I have pensions totaling nearly $50,000 a year.
Started work in 1950 as an apprentice fitter and turner, became a tool and die maker, and instrument repair technician. Qualified as a marine engineer and machinist. Became an engineering teacher, then a hard crafts teacher, joined the New Zealand Army Band as a musician (marched up every NZ main street from Kaitaia to Invercargal, saw NZ at the Armys expense), gave that up and became a locksmith and engraver in Paihia, also drove taxis and buses for Fullers. I conducted history tours in the Bay of Islands, my family home for 180 years. Now retired to Hamilton to play in my well equipt engineering workshop, make music, and ride my bike.
