This is a big bike, being ridden with consummate skill and planning. To be admired and the lines studied.

The camera bike is another Goldwing too.
The Tail of the Dragon, Deals Gap, North Carolina. There's a version of this where you can hear the pipes scraping on almost every corner.
Classic proof that it's not the amount of dog in the fight that's important.

Was that Lance Lowe on a honda ride day?
Fook Yeah!...Me Got DRZ400sm Now!
& still can't spell for shit!
Certainly fast but put into perspective: very good road surface, consistent road width and well marked, flowing corners, didn't appear to be any reducing radius corners like in NZ, and flat. It may have been her 100th plus time over that section of road. Nothing like practice to make perfect.
Here for the ride.
That road is pretty crazy... you have a lot of blind corners. I've done it by car. As far as police.... in the last couple of years they have gone completely mad with over-enforcement. It has actually hurt some of the local economy quite badly.
http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ Lots of info there and Killboy (aka Daryl, takes some cool pics)
http://www.zeefoto.com/moto.html I've met Zee, she use to live in Canada after she got married to her hubby Ben.... then they moved back to Tennessee. Anyway, some nice pictures of the area on her site.
Now this one is a riot - my friend was actually a couple of bikes back and they left him... LOL This is from like 2002 or so.
practised or not quite a fast smooth trip, not once do they cross the centre line tho they may have leaned over it a few times...
I've watched a few guys in wellington go screaming along on a Goldwing. It really shows that the better the rider the faster they go. Prime example is watching my boss toodle round every corner at 80kmp on his VFR800 and a guy on a RG150 pissing all over him.
Wow, I wouldn't have thought you could throw a goldwing around like that.........
Thats confident.. Not the first time I have seen a Goldwing hustled though. Pre youtube I was on a similar road following the shores of a Loch in Scotland on my faithful XT350 & kept hearing bursts of country & western music, much to my dismay. We eventually caught up with a Goldwing, fully tassled rider & Tammy Wynette at full blast who proceeded to show us young wannabees how to ride. No chance of getting past on the wee trailies. Lots of sparks & lots of respect from me. It's always gonna be the rider, not the bike. Sooooooo true.
Could,nt do that on a Harley........![]()
That fella would give a lot of sports bike riders a run for their money.
