Now's your chance to have it tidied up! Shame about the blood though. It really dulls the edges of finely-honed blades...

Paul, I thought you would have learnt from all my bad habits. Knives, sharp sticks and wombats are bad
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I thought you would have been straight into the garage and out with the Duct Tape,if it can hold together Nascar's and Race bikes it can hold your thumb together

    HaHa.. Ow

Yes, actually it is held together with insulation tape at the mo! Duct tape sticks too much and is a bitch to get off!

I thought if I could hold the base on with tape I could cut the end of the nail off with my side cutters in the garage... Nah! I can't quite see what I'm doing (blood) and I can't nip it off one handed... Fark it hurts too.. Vicki tried to help and I had the dremel out but thought i'd better not as I could be awful hard to explain if it went wrong eh!

I'm typing this 'cos I have to wait for the folks at A&E to give me a jab and rip it off and it takes my mind off it... Been over 2 hours now and still waiting.. Starting to throb a bit now.. Oh Well.. It was raining and can't do much more outside.. knew I should have worn my gloves...

    The Fiennes Procedure

    Do a "Ranulph Fiennes"
    Go to your garden shed.
Clamp the offending digit in a vise.
Saw it off with a hacksaw.

Just one question. What is a hard biker dude such as yourself doin in the garden in the first place?

Hope it heals well mate. And stay out of that garden. Only old people do that stuff.

Take it to the www.kiwigardening.co.nz forum and see if they think it's a very dangerous pastime?...don't tell them you ride motorcycles though.

No I didn't, but being the 98.9% carnivore that I am I wouldn't know. To me gardens are nothing but flowers and other semi-useless plants.
