Enjoy your pup, the time you put into them now is the joy they will give you for the rest of their lives..B.C's easy to train being soooo smart, well most of them anyway, my latest is the best I have had, and just twelve months old...

Learn to "fetch" ... come when you're called .... behave and do as you're told ... and she may well do ... maybe (being cute helps ... but I guess you're out of luck there ... )

Ha - even a sworn cat-man (should that be pussy-man?) like myself could not resist that little fella!

Good to see he has gone to a good home.

Mate day 3 has revealed hes not backward in going forward, hes only a few inches off the ground but had the nerve to have a go at a fully grown Shepherd and a Lab whilst out visiting friends, jesus it was funny, not just a little growl with the Lab it was a full on assult, when hes old enough methinks it nuts for the little guy.

My old Lab (Kelly) died in April at age 15. I said the same as you, that I would rather rescue a dog than buy one.

Then, looking for a basket for the cat, the wife and I called into the pet shop.

A 4 month old black lab gave us a grin.

We ended up buying the dog, and paying far too much for her.

I rang my Mum up to tell her.

She said call the dog Karma.

This girl was 4 mths, old, getting near too old for a pet shop, so faced a miserable future. Not that life had been that great. While humanely treated, she had spent her life in a 4ft cage.

Because dogs at the pound or SPCA are almost free, they have lots of potential rescuers.

Mum reckons that dogs like Karma don't have good luck, they are too expensive to be randomly rescued.

Karma is currently asleep on Kellys old bed.

Having explored the back yard, and had a pee on real grass for the first time in her life.

    And a chew on a Harley foot-peg I think.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
