Awesome, Anne! (That you have dropped some weight)
    Not riding your bike? Huh?
So looking forward to this weekend!
Must go and have a look at the forecast, actually...I do hope its fine!

Something has come up that we now need a car for Sunday afternoon on the way back, so yes the Holden will be making its way to Taupo, I will be on my bike though. May even be able to get my Ezi-Down to Taupo....

Yeah, I am actually a bit gutted about it as I was really looking forward to doing a ride with my son, but as Mark says, we have to have a car in Auckland Sunday afternoon, and me taking the car to Taupo is the only way that can happen.

By my reckoning someone is probably going to need the services of a car over the weekend anyways... (shop runs, etc...?)

You haven't seen how much Bodir can carry on his bike aye? More than the local supermarket home delivery service

What's the plan if (if?? ha!!) it's wet?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Lodge available

Sorry folks! Doesn't look like I can go!

But I have a small lodge booked. The one with a double bed in as one pictured on the site with the single bed above. Only $37 a night for one person or $52 for two plus 5 bucks a night for bedding.
I figured it wasn't worth bringing the tent, sleeping bag and airbed on the bike for that price as camp sites are $25 anyway.

Anyone want it as I'm going to cancel in a few hours.

I'm a couple of blocks from the lodge, and my Ute's available for beer/bbq runs if needed.
We'll probably come thru in the evening for a snifter or two, may be busy on the day, but no firm plans yet.
