Sounds like an awesome ride. Unfortunately I wont be able to make it. You should get plenty of willing participants though.

    Its on with possible re-route

Rain hitting Upper Hutt right now
Minor wind movement (far from a storm)

Plastic up peoples, its still on for today
Byron Cummins Wellington Branch Treasurer is heading to the Duck Pond to lead the ride out at 10am
Possible the route may change due to Paekak Hill conditions
    TBA on arrival

Shiny Side Up folks and have a good ride (kids weekend for me cannot attend )
    Just ride.

Weather was crap at best...wind was horriffic..

A ew hardy souls madventured out despite all of this! I met a mate of mine at the bottom of Paekak Hill (northern end) and came over the hill. Multiple close calls with the front and back sliding all over the place. Haywards was better but pissing down...Still good to be out though!

A handful of us met up at the duck pond and decided to flag it all and head straight to the Parrot for brunch. Then the sun came out and the wind settled in.

all in all, a bit of a rough start but definately well worth it!

A few pics of the hardy few...
