Yeah I'm Grafton and its windy as hell right now... in wind a little less than this I do involuntary lane changes at best... don't really want to get a wind assisted knee and head down

if it's like it was down here, the worst will pass over in a few hours, so maybe you can wait it out? but riding in the sort of gales we had was a definite no-no for me personally, way more likely to come off, or get knocked off by a flying letterbox or other debri

hmmm, yeh not ideal to be at work late, but still better than doing involuntary lane changes imo.

I don't live out your way, I head up SH1 but I was getting battered from the left. Tried to change back to the left lane a couple of times.. Just turned the indicator off and stayed put in my lane.

The way that I did it... Knee's tight on the tank, get as low as you feel comfortable and pin it. Still got pushed around a fair bit but never felt like I was in any bother.

    Hope you got home ok...

After looking at the forecast last night I decided not to take the bike to work today, tempting though it was when it looked fine this morning. I've been over a slightly gusty harbour bridge before but I don't think I'm ready for the winds I got in the car on the way home this afternoon...

Bet you had a "thrilling" ride in the wind. Post up and let us know you are in one piece when you can.
