Boy you guys that turned around at the top missed out on free wedges and chips and there was even no double dipping in the sauces going on

Was nice to find a dry road just after the summit and also had a good laugh at the pub with the waterproof crowd or are they the new dinner club (you guys know who you are)

Enjoyed the ride.. took me a wee while to warm up though. Yes... good laughs at the pub you funny buggas! It was a few degrees warmer on the otherside of the summit and dry roads. Twas lovely.

I went to visit a mate on my way home that lives in Featherston. Coming back off a side street to the main road, there was a pile of peagravel right at the give way point of the road. Was only in first gear and didn't see it 'til I was on it. A very large load of gravel and quite deep too. Had to break to stop for intersection, as per normal, my bike went out from underneith me and there was just too much gravel to get any traction, and no road ahead to run out to. I came out of it upright, but was staionery on a good lean. Tried with all my might to pull her back up but FAIL. Bike landed on me, in an intersection, and my leg took the full weight of the bike.

Raaaaaaa - couldn't be more ready to get ride of this bike now, desperate for something lighter. A car load of kind men stopped and helped me to get back upright and on my way.

Damage: broken indicator, new scratches, bent gear shifter, confindence dented. All pretty minor, but it was a slow speed off.

Ba-hum-bug. That road was a mess and will be writing to the local council to report it.

I'm fine, sore leg though. But the bike is important as I really want to sell it, especially now. So, will get the repairs done and on trade me she goes. May be without a bike for a few months, but it won't be for long.

I've dropped 2 bikes. One on gravel and luckliy it was a 250 so I used my body as a cushion (and no injuries). The 2nd was the SV650 at the cold kiwi - that was on dirt but had frame sliders fitted so they took it - again no damage.

That's why I have frame sliders on the Speed Triple. I highly recommend them if you can find some to fit your bike. If I have a high speed off, they'll probably do more damage than without, as if they catch on anything, they'll break the frame mounts = bike written off. However a low speed over or wind gust fall over - will save a bit of the damage.

I was shocked.....didn't know some of them knew how to use a knife and fork. Will have to wear something more formal next time (underpants would be a start!)

Bugger. I've done the exact same thing.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Shut the door to your garage next time, it'll keep those pesky birds out of there.
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.
