There are also a number of the faster guys who are slow on the take off from the duckpond, as they know they will catch up easily. You know the ones I mean. the ones that take that last couple of drags on the ciggie whilst the group is already leaving. This however has an impact on the slower guy's as they end up getting passed on the hill.

Why are they actually leaving later ? Is it to finish their durrie or so they can then show off doing the mean overtake on the hill ?

Some rides can be more enjoyable than others !

Those people that dont come riding because of what happens in a group ride, shouldnt be riding at all, take the car, group rides are what you make of them.

It aint all about the KB wed and thurs night rides !! Or is that all you live for ?
Some ppl go on group rides but are a bit more selective of where they'd like to go ! I mean the same hill week in week out ? Does it not bore you to tears ?
As for the, take the car because of what happens on a group ride comment lol i be thinkin you didn't really mean that aye ? I mean it aint near as much fun in a car !

I seemed to be having a much better ride than I have had in a long time and was simply loving it!

Well i have to say, if you're thumpin this 50 over the hill in a similar manner to that you were the bike you had prior, i see no reason anyone would want to pass you. Unless they want to pass the next rider also, as mentioned above !

But i would suggest thinking about turning your mirrors in just once and ride the hill, see how you enjoy just riding, rather than watching who it is that wants to pass and who it is that's enjoying just following you lol (letting all the passers leave first of course)

Gloomy in Welly too but dry and warm. Wind has droppped quite a bit but still gusty. Reckon the hill will be FUN!

seriously guys and gal. dont do the hill tonight. it is incredibly windy in the Rapa. Power out in feddy all day, Zillions of trees down in Marty. We lost 2 whole rows of netting this morning - wire cables snapped like string. sent the crew home early as too dangerous to be out there. So may pay to play on the boring side of the hill today
