    Proto-typing PCBs

    Hi Guys

Is anyone here into proto-typing PCBs. I used to have access to facilities but alas no longer. I've got a simple project that I could do with vero board but it would be nice to have something a little more polished.

The project is to put 24V lighting and power into my horse truck but as I'll be using the main batteries I'd like to have some safeguards in place. Basically I'll have 2 power busses in the truck, a general power bus which feeds a 240v inverter and a water pump and a 2nd lighting bus that will drive a couple of 24V lights.

The board I need to design will have a voltage comparitor based low voltage cut out that will cut power to both busses and also a Light Dependent Switch which will only power the lights when it's dark. The final protection will be a key switch (key on the same tag as the ignition key) that isolates the lot when the vehicle is parked up and not in use.

The project is still a couple of months off as I'm still in Aust for work and can't do anything until I get back in December - but I thought I'd ask to see if anybody is out there with any interest in helping out.

    Cheers
    NN

Electrical Wholesalers - Photo electric Switch, Voltage monitoring relay maybe 2 relays 24VDC and a 24VDC Contactor rated to switch your load.
Save some hassle and put these into a Plastic enclosure and mount on some din rail.
    probably gonna be around 300 x 200 x 120mm.

If you got time to kill and can be bothered with the hassle you could do a PCB 1, probably come to the same price without the reliability.

Thanks, inspired by your advice I found these online. I didn't know 24V versions existed and it has the added benefit of a built in motion sensor which will save my batteries even more.

    Cheers
