No according to Mr plod we were going too fast for the conditions. The fact that the road was as slippery as an ice rink has nothing to do with it. That the whole section of the road was replaced 2 weeks latter has nothing to do with it and that several other riders have fallen off in the same place has nothing to do with it.

You forgot the bit where he said it was all our fault for riding motorcycles in the first place.

There is some thing seriously fucked up when Transit fixes the roads after there is a certain number of accidents on them. So much for doing everything possible to reduce the road toll. It's all about money.

    Of course it is.

I'm missing something here - what section of road are you talking about? Did you get pulled over as a group?

Tis a sad story best told over a beer that involved 3 motorbikes, a very slipery road and a cop who was a tosser.

That sounds interesting! A story to be heard ...

Speaking of slippery tossers, are we going for a ride this week?
Am very sore after the trail ride on Sunday (video to come) and doing anything makes me sore, anything but riding the bike strangely enough, so am chomping at the bit to do a proper ride.

How's ride, drink & story sound to all?

Strange. Thats why I am just a little sore today, my shoulders are just letting me know that I did a training day on the track 2 up on a most unsuitable heavy weight bike.

    Roll on Thursday.

I'm in if I can get out of work in time to pick up the bike, otherwise I will just head to the pub after 1930 and tell you about a day spent in the rain on the side of the road looking after 3 Harleys while the riders were at the Hamner hospital.

Why don't all you guys n gals head for the TaiTap pub. Nice and handy and everyone knows where it is.

All you "Classics" don't forget Flip has a ride on Sunday 3rd April.

For all the members of the group who want to continue riding together over the winter we will be having a Sunday?????? ride starting on the 10th April. Flip or I will post a thread to that end in the next week or so.

Look after yourselves and ride safely folks.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!
