Thanks for all the feedback guys. I believe it gives us all something to think about.

In future I will post the route several times during the week. I will use some of the nice features of the thread formatting that I have recently discovered, ie large and coloured print, as highlights.

Because of the variety of skill levels, riding styles and different types of bikes, not everyone is going to be satisfied with all of the rides.

When a ride is posted that you find you do not like YOU have the option not to go. You could ride somewhere else, take the dog for a walk. Nobody is forcing you to ride anywhere, so don't!!!!!
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

When the Port side of Evans Pass Road is opened we could go over Evans Pass. I suggest we call this RQ's ride!!!!!!!!

RQ will you please ring Tai Tap pub and let them know we are going to be there next WNR.
    Does that stand out enough????????

Now its only a suggestion so you don't have to yell in yellow GP, why not post this weeks route on Post number one and you won't have to repeat yourself.

just depends on what time i get away from work , been late finish's last 2 weeks , and not enough time to make the starting grid.

    SUGGESTION

The ride last week showed up a potential problem with the TEC concept, there were a few frustrated faces at Sumner because no one had any idea what was going on back up the hill.

My suggestion, is to ensure that the TEC and Leader have some form of communication, whether it is Cell phone or walkie talkie etc., so that in the event of a breakdown, the TEC can advise the leader of the problem. They can then make a decision to carry on, or to nominate another person who knows the route to either lead the ride or to remain behind at the catch-up point to pick up any stragglers until the TEC arrives.

Does that make sense? Does to me . This way the momentum of the ride is maintained, and the catch up point is manned / womaned with someone that act as leader for those late arrivals.
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

    Shit, was I that bad?

To be fair, most of last weeks issues were due to people that had turned up not legal worried about a checkpoint. I guess if people want to bail out for any reason the thing to do would be to pull over and wait for TEC and let them know that you're not continuing, then at least they are still TEC and when they reach the next regroup everyone can carry on.

One of the harder bits at the moment is finding a regroup point that's got enough space for the numbers that are turning up.

Yes I agree with Neels and hear what Mr Net is saying.

The leaders we have are great and I think they are doing a very good job. I regret that people were held up at Sumner last WNR, that was mostly my fault.

The communication issue will be sorted. Thanks Mr Net for the suggestions.

Anyone leaving the ride for any reason, it would be nice to inform the TEC, however I realise that is not always possible.

To everyone who rides with WNR.

Please assume that your bike may be checked by at BK before we leave on the ride. Therefore if your bike isn't street legal, ENSURE that it becomes so before your next WNR!!!!!!!

Please remember we sometimes have aorriding with us!!!!!!!!!!!

    Maybe......

It's really up to the individual if they want to come for a ride and take their chances with the , I have on occasion ridden not completely legal for reasons various and irrelevant to the conversation. But if you're not going to continue on a group ride for legal/mechanical/electrical/philisophical reasons I would think the decent thing to do is to park up until TEC turns up and let them know, so you're not fucking 30+ other people around wondering where the hell you've got to.

Responsibility is overrated, just remember growing older is compulsory, growing up is optional
