I will ring the council in the morning, but if anyone is over that way (JM) could they please have a look and post the news. Or ring or txt me 366 5593, 0220 372 569.

I think all those who want to go to Akaroa should leave BK by 18.15.

The rest of us will leave at 18.30 as usual.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

So if Evans isn't open as yet, what is the alternate route, through the tunnel or via Tai Tapu??

Oh well if Evans Pass is still closed next Wed, we can either go through the tube or over Dyers Pass.

I don't think the tunnel does the bikes justice, too many trucks and shit in there 24/7 when it comes to hearing the bikes.

    Evans pass

Just been round the bays via Tai Tapu and Gebbies. Still alot of gravel etc on the roads and looks like some fresh damage. Plenty of warning signs so shouldn't be an issue.

Evans pass rd is definitely CLOSED...I had to come back through the tube....

It is my understanding from the Lyttleton Area Maintenance Supervisor that Sumner Road will be opened at 17.00 today.

According to him, the Sumner Road is in better condition than the Govonors Bay Road.

Therefore I will chance my luck and post tonight's route.

BK, Ferry Rd, Sumner (regroup outside Van Asch [School for deaf]), Evans Pass, around the bays, Gebbies Pass, Millers Rd (regroup Millers near Akaroa Hiway), Little River Pub.

I am going to look at Sumner Road before 18.00 tonight.

What is the weather going to do??????

My boys riding tonight,we will prolly only go to Little River too....

    a) cause I miss the Ducati when you do the rides with straight bits
b)Sams XR would'nt make it to Akaroa & back unless he carries fuel!!
