I assume the ride will go up Ashley street in Rangiora about 7:15ish? I may be tempted to tag on the back after work.

Looks like I am out as well today.

We are being audited by ACC and I doubt I can get home and get the scooter back into town by 630.

Have a good ride guys and gals, did the ride out there on labour weekend monday & the roads were looking rather lovely.

I won't be along, out visiting family for a birthday and then off home to figure out how to pack the duc for Nelson in the weekend

    WNR rides - Rules!!

If he does not post here, then chances are he probably is not aware of the WNR rules. Passing on the inside sounds dodgy at the best of times. More of a track move and not one for the road. Somebody just needs to have a quite word in his ear.

I have a new bike! (and a new name to go with it). Can't wait to come along to the WNR as soon as I have my full license. Until then the Aprilia will be getting a lot of cleaning....

    I know that feeling well!!!

A friend of mine has left a Yamaha XJ750 in my garage with keys, granted I do ride it up and down the drive to maintain the battery, thankfully I have my wee 250 that I can ride legally but have booked the Defensive driving course to get my full down to 3 months, which means I could potentially sit my full in Dec, just before the KB Rally!

    Passing on the left/lane sharing...

It's not a WNR rule, it is actually illegal to do it (pass on the left within the same lane).
Quote from The Official New Zealand Road Code for Motorcyclists
You can only pass on the left when:

    * there are two or more lanes on your side of the centre line and you are able to pass safely by using the left-hand lane, or
    * the vehicle you are passing:
    - has stopped, or
    - is signalling a right turn, or
    - is turning right, or
    * you are directed to by a police officer.

At all other times, when you are passing, you must pass on the right.

    Some 25??? bikes tonight.

Sunstrike was the biggest problem, apart that is from pinging one of our number for travelling 50mm off the ground. Now I wonder who that was???????????

A nice twisty ride lined up for next week. I will get Flip to post a map.

Thanks to Mr Net for leading tonight
